At House of Viraj, we take great pride in the quality of our handcrafted ethnic wear. We want every purchase to delight you — and where it doesn't, we are here to make it right. Please read this policy carefully before raising any request.
Mandatory Requirement
Unboxing Video is Required for All Claims
If you have received a defective, damaged, incorrect, or missing item, or wish to raise any quality concern after delivery, you must record a clear, uninterrupted unboxing video at the time of opening your package. This video serves as proof of authentication for your claim.

01 — Colour & Product Disclaimer
The product specifications (weight, colour, handwork, size, etc.) shown on our website are approximate values. House of Viraj endeavours to present products as accurately as possible; however, minor variations in colour, texture, and finish may occur due to the nature of handloom fabrics, natural dyes, climatic conditions during dyeing, photography lighting, and differences in display settings across devices.
We request all customers to place orders keeping these minor variations in mind. Handicraft and hand-dyed items will always carry subtle individual differences — this is a mark of their authenticity, not a defect. Products with sequin or stone embellishments may experience minor shedding even with careful handling; this is expected and should be considered before purchase.
02 — Return Policy
If you receive a product in a damaged condition or with visible tampering before delivery, please refuse to accept the package and return it to the delivery person immediately. Then contact us at support@houseofviraj.com or call +91 97483 94022 with your Order ID.
Contact Before Returning: Never send back a product without first consulting our support team. Returns sent without prior authorisation will not receive a credit or replacement.
Original Condition Required: Items must be returned in their original, unaltered condition — unworn, unwashed, unused — with all original tags intact and the price tag attached. Include a copy of your original invoice.
Return Window: Returns must be dispatched within 7 working days of receiving our confirmation to proceed.
Free Pickup Service: We arrange a complimentary return pickup via our courier partners. If you choose to self-ship, please use a registered courier as instructed in our return authorisation email. No other return methods will be accepted.
Report All Issues Together: All concerns related to a single order or package must be raised at the same time. Please be specific when describing the issue, as all returned items are thoroughly examined.
Transit Responsibility: Once you have dispatched the return, it is your responsibility to ensure it reaches us safely. We cannot be held liable for items lost or damaged in transit on the return journey.
03 — Do's & Don'ts — Receiving Your Parcel
Inspect before signing: Always inspect the outer packaging for any signs of damage or tampering before accepting and signing for your delivery.
Record your unboxing: Record a minimum 30-second, uncut unboxing video every time you open a House of Viraj package — this protects your right to raise a claim.
Be present for COD deliveries: For Cash on Delivery orders, please ensure someone is present at the delivery address during working hours (11 AM – 6 PM). We cannot guarantee prior call notification from the courier.
Do not open before payment (COD): For Cash on Delivery packages, you are not authorised to open the package before completing payment to the delivery person.
Do not accept visibly damaged packages: If the package appears tampered with or damaged, refuse delivery and return it to the delivery person immediately. Contact us right away with your Order ID.
04 — Exchange Policy
Exchanges are available on eligible items and must be requested within 3 days of delivery. Exchange pickup and re-delivery is a free service. Please note that exchange is permitted only once per order number.
05 — Refund Policy
Purchased products are generally not refundable. However, a refund may be initiated in the following circumstances: manufacturing defects, delivery of a damaged product, or receipt of a wrong item — provided these are reported within the stipulated window with a valid unboxing video.
Eligible Refunds: Refunds are issued only when House of Viraj is responsible for the cause — i.e., manufacturing defect, incorrect item, or damage caused prior to delivery.
Customer-Side Damage: If damage has occurred at the customer's end after delivery, a refund will not be issued.
Refund Timeline: Once we receive the returned product at our warehouse and verify the claim, we will initiate the refund within 7 business days. The amount will be credited as per your bank's processing guidelines.
Shipping is Non-Refundable: Only the product value will be refunded. Original shipping charges are excluded from all refund amounts.
Out of Stock Refunds: If a product you ordered is unavailable or out of stock, we will refund the full product amount including shipping, with no deductions. A store credit may also be offered depending on order value and delay.
06 — Product Availability
House of Viraj brings you the latest and most exclusive handcrafted pieces. Many of our handloom products take 15–20 days to produce, and each piece is limited by nature. While we continually strive to fulfil every order, there are occasions when a product may sell out or go out of stock after your order is placed.
In such cases, we will promptly notify you and encourage you to select an equally exciting alternative. If no alternative is satisfactory, we will refund the full amount — product value plus shipping — with absolutely no deductions.
